Mental Health Therapist in Norwood, MA
You understand your patterns. You’ve probably talked them through, maybe even know where they started, and nothing’s changing. You know what you want to do, but in the heat of the moment, you end up doing something else, and it’s happening in your relationships.
That’s where I come in. I work with men, women, and couples dealing with boundaries, low self-esteem, and repeating patterns in their relationships. Together, we can change how those patterns play out.
I’m a Massachusetts Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) with nearly 20 years of experience in the mental health field. My office is located in Norwood, MA, where I offer in-person therapy for adults and couples. I also offer online therapy throughout Massachusetts and New York.
Mental Health Therapy in Norwood, MA
Maybe you know you need to set a boundary, and you don’t. You want to speak up, and you hold it in. You tell yourself you won’t get pulled into the same fight again, and then you do. Afterwards, you spend hours replaying the conversation, wondering if you were too sensitive, too demanding, or not clear enough.
I’m not a therapist who sits there and nods. I will ask questions you wouldn’t think to ask yourself, and people are often surprised at what comes out. A fight with your partner can be linked to something that never crossed your mind. We’ll start with what’s going on in your life right now and follow whatever comes up from there.
Many of my clients are navigating:
- Relationship patterns that keep repeating
- Overthinking or constant mental noise
- Stress, burnout, or feeling overwhelmed
- Self-esteem and self-worth challenges
- Life transitions or feeling stuck in the “in-between”
- Difficulty managing emotions or reactions
- Childhood trauma or early experiences
- Depression and anxiety
- Grief, anger, or feeling stuck
- Career-related stress and pressure
Couples & Marriage Therapy in Norwood, MA
You may care deeply about each other and still feel like you’re having the same conversation over and over again. One person pushes for an answer while the other pulls away. A small disagreement turns into a larger conflict, and before long, you’re both reacting to a pattern you’ve seen play out many times before.
When communication becomes difficult or resentment starts to build, it can be hard to figure out how to change the dynamic on your own. You may be struggling with conflict around parenting, money, intimacy, trust, family, or simply finding your way back to feeling connected.
In couples therapy, I work with both partners to understand what is happening between you, including the patterns each of you brings into the relationship. Rather than focusing on who is right or wrong, we can look at the dynamic honestly and work toward relating to one another with more understanding, respect, and accountability.
You don’t have to wait until your relationship is in crisis to reach out. I can help you make sense of the patterns you’re caught in and find a way forward before those patterns become even harder to change.
When You Keep Having the Same Fight
Sometimes the argument isn’t really about the dishes, the text message, the in-laws, or who forgot to do something (okay, sometimes it really is).
A small disagreement can quickly turn into something much bigger. One person feels criticized. The other feels dismissed. Someone becomes defensive, and suddenly you’re both arguing about everything that has happened over the past six months.
How Couples Therapy Can Help
I’ll help each of you look at what gets “kicked up” during difficult moments, take responsibility for your own reactions, and understand the patterns that keep you stuck. The goal isn’t to decide who is right or wrong or tell you whether you should stay together. It’s to help you build more awareness, make healthier choices, and find a way to relate to each other that feels more connected and productive.
My Approach To Therapy
I don’t believe therapy should be about sitting quietly while you do all the talking. I’ll ask questions, share what I notice, and sometimes challenge you when I think something deserves a closer look.
My approach incorporates Parts Work, Relational Life Therapy, and Interpersonal Neurobiology. These approaches give us different ways to look at the reactions, beliefs, and experiences that show up in your relationships and everyday life.
My work is especially focused on helping adults and couples who want to understand why they keep doing things they don’t want to do. You may already have plenty of insight into yourself. Therapy can help you take that insight a step further and build more confidence in your ability to make choices that feel right for you.
Therapy is collaborative. You bring your experiences and what you’re dealing with, and we work together to figure out where to focus.

Ready to Get Started?
You don’t need to have everything figured out before reaching out. Maybe you’re looking for help with a relationship, struggling to set boundaries, or trying to feel more confident in yourself. Or maybe you and your partner know that the way you’re communicating isn’t working anymore.
We can start with a conversation about what’s been going on and what you’re hoping to work on. From there, we can figure out whether working together feels like the right fit.
