Move from impulsivity to intentionality

You know how you want to respond—but in the moment, it’s like something else takes over.

I offer therapy for adults who are tired of feeling like their reactions are running the show. In our work together, we uncover the subconscious motivations behind those impulses—including patterns that may have roots in past experiences or trauma they haven’t fully named yet.

You can begin to respond with more alignment, intention, and trust in yourself.

I’m Vickey, a Relational Life Therapist working with individuals and couples who are ready to look inward—to both understand themselves, and to shift what hasn’t been working.

My approach isn’t to just be a place to vent. It’s a space where the right questions, timing, and therapeutic presence open the door to real change. When the internal terrain begins to shift, change outside the office becomes possible—even if it’s not always easy.

Individual & Couples Therapy for People Who Are Ready To Look Within

If you’ve ever thought, “Why do I keep reacting this way?” or “I don’t get why I do this—especially when I know better”, you’re not alone—and you’re not broken.

I help clients explore the subconscious motivations behind their reactions so they can shift long-standing patterns at the root. These patterns often made sense at some point—sometimes even as protective responses to early experiences or trauma.

Together, we’ll uncover why they’re still showing up—and how to move toward responses that feel more aligned with who you want to be.

I ask questions that get beneath the surface (some might even feel strange at first)—but they’re designed to help you access the parts of yourself that already hold the insight and wisdom needed for change.

If you’re ready to stop repeating what no longer serves you, I’d love to connect.

Individual Therapy

We all have subconscious stories; beliefs about the world that we don’t realize we have. Together, we will explore how you look at things. Then we will add: why do you look at things this way? Let’s dive deep and figure out your subconscious motivations that lie underneath the surface.

Couples Therapy

What issues are you both kicking up for each other? That is the beautiful mess of marriage: we marry the person who kicks up our past stuff. This is individual work; we find out what is coming up for each of you, and as you get healthier as individuals, your relationship will start to shift.

Parenting

Are you wondering if your own childhood is impacting your parenting? Or, do you simply want to do it differently than your parents did? What I can help you with is addressing your own childhood trauma—whether that involves significant, life-altering trauma (Big T trauma) or more subtle, cumulative experiences (little T trauma.)

➜ Maybe you’re facing higher costs from absenteeism, or you’re dealing with the fallout of burnout because employees aren’t taking necessary time off.

➜  You might be seeing a drop in productivity as morale hits rock bottom, with team members losing enthusiasm for their projects.

➜  Are conflicts rising while valuable employees feel overlooked and unheard, leading to costly turnover and recruitment expenses?

The root cause of these issues may surprise you, because it often boils down to a lack of self-worth and poor boundary setting.
